Hungarian-born violinist. He started playing the violin at the age of 4 in Szeged. In 2001 he started his musical education at the most prestigious school; Kodály in Kecskemét.
Later she continued her education at the Györ Conservatory with Marta Svikruha. In 2007 she was awarded a scholarship to the Royal College of Music with Jan Repko in London. After one year she continued her progress with Dona Lee Croft, with whom she studied for 6 years.
She graduated in 2011 and graduated in the Master of Arts in 2013, in London. In 2010 she won the Szeged City Artist Scholarship and the Hungarian Szeviep Company financially supported her studies in the UK. In 2011 he won the Sir Charles Mackerras Scholarship at the Leadership Orchestra, which supported him financially to continue his studies at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, in order to gain the knowledge as an orchestral principal.
Following his studies he has performed at numerous music festivals. He performed as a soloist with prestigious orchestras, such as The Havilland, Symphony Orchestra, Belkishire Maestros, Gyori Szimfonikus Zenebar, London-Vienna Chamber Orchestra, Orquesta Sinfónica de España, among others.
In 2014, Máté moved to Madrid and joined the Santa Cecilia Orchestra, playing in the largest auditoriums in the country, having twice the honour of performing for Queen Sofia of Spain. He was a member and winner of numerous national and international competitions, such as the Lipitzer International Hungarian National Competition in Gorizia, Kloster Schöntal International Violin Competition, Hungarian National Competition, Zaturecky, Kingston upon Thames Performing Arts Festival, Concerto and Bach Competition Prize at the Ealing Festival and Hatfield Music Festival.
Máté was a member of the well-known London-based string quartet Graffiti Classics, from 2008 to 2015, performing weekly around the world at major theatres and festivals.
He has performed in masterclasses with several well-known violinists, such as: György Pauk, Eszter Perényi, Béla Katona, Peter Esswood, Barnabás Kelemen, György Somogyi, András Kis and Dénes Kovács.
He has conducted numerous European orchestras such as RCM Symphony Orchestra, RCM Sinfonietta, Gyor, Kecskemet and Szeged Symphony Orchestra, Vienna Mozart Orchestra and RWCMD Chamber Orchestra, under conductors Ashkenazy, Salonen and Jurowsky, to mention a few, performing in UK (St David’s Hall, Dora Stoutzker Hall, and Cadogan Hall), China (Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong concert halls), Hungary, Czech Republic, Italy, Finland, Austria, Russia and Germany.
In 2013, he met his current partner and in 2016 they got together artistically to start a new innovative project called Dúo Esencias, with which they began to perform. Currently, Máté is the composer, artist and one of the founders of Dúo Esencias, with whom, together with his sentimental and artistic partner, they travel and perform around Spain and in different cruise companies around the world.
